Selat Baru coast is the second most beautiful beach in Bengkalis after Rupat North Coast. The name itself is taken from the beach Selat Baru name of the village where the beach is located, Selat Baru Village, which is also the Capital District Bantan.
Bengkalis Government has made the beach as one of mainstay attractions. Evidently, in the region held a beach party every year. At the event held various competitions, such as boat races Jong, tops, and kites. Visitors can also witness various artistic and cultural attractions of traditional local area.
Selat Baru beach has a gently sloping stretch of beach and fine sand along the 2 mile distance is about 200 meters from the beach. Ocean waves at the beach is relatively stable, not more than 1 meter, except on the north wind season.
