Khazakhstan president, Nursultan Nazarbayev urged Austria to extradite ex-law, Rakhat Aliyev, who was charged with kidnapping and murder of a banker in Kazakhstan.

Similarly, local media reported on Thursday (16/6/2011. Rakhat Aliyev, who is married to Nazarbayev's eldest daughter, Dariga, up to divorced in 2007, has been sentenced to prison for a long time in the trial in absentia in Kazakhstan for the abduction and murder of the banker.

Pressure on Vienna to repatriate the mortal enemy of President Nazarbayev's former confidant is now increasing.

"You need to do all the way to extradite criminals, so they are guilty in banker murder trial and is responsible before the law," said Nazarbayev told law enforcement officials.

"Austria is our partners who have substantial economic ties. Now the Austrian government has no excuse to not extradite the criminals so that justice could be enforced," he added.

Prosecutors in Kazakh ensnare Aliyev in murder case of two top managers of the bank named Nurbank, Zholdas Timraliyev and Aybar Khasenov, in 2007. The body was found two months ago in the foothills of the financial capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty.

Kazakhstan has been seeking the extradition of Aliyev, who fled to Austria since 2007. Aliyev claimed he was the victim of political conspiracy that aims to tackle the challenging steps in-law to the presidency itself. Former ambassador to Austria in 2008 was tried in absentia on various charges, including kidnapping and coup attempts.

Vienna refused Kazakh extradition request, saying Aliev will not get a fair trial in his country.
