Microsoft wants to make Kinect as the 'heart of hearts' Xbox 360 game console and user experience. Not just for games, Kinect planned as a control instrument YouTube, television and others.
It was raised by Microsoft in a press conference before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), as quoted on Reuters on Tuesday (07/06/2011).
Some of the things that the plan will be controlled via Kinect, according to Microsoft, including: broadcast TV, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Netflix and Internet searches.
But hardcore gamers need not worry. Microsoft is also ready to bring control Kinect as a complement to their favorite games. Some of that was announced is the game Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Mass Effect 3.
Kinect reported so far have been sold to 10 million units. This is one of the best-selling products to consumers from Microsoft.
Kinect is an additional tool for the Xbox 360 console. Motion sensors, cameras and microphones allow control of the game through motion and sound.
So far, Microsoft has announced, Kinect control applications in broadcast television, YouTube, Netflix and others will be done through voice search.
