Exercise is one part of a healthy lifestyle. But unfortunately there are some misleading views that developed in the community about the sport that can actually harm.

Myths that developed about the sport is generally not based on scientific grounds, and therefore has not proven true. Here are a few things wrong about the sport, as quoted from Lifemojo, Wednesday (08/06/2011), namely:

1. If the body does not hurt, it was not helpful
Pain or pain is a warning sign that indicates the potential harm of body or that something is wrong. Society should distinguish between pain and discomfort.

When starting a new sport, then mild discomfort are normal and are associated with muscle pain (Due to Muscle Soreness / DOMS). But if the pain that comes already disturbing activity, then it is already showing signs something was wrong.

This myth will make people even further with the sport. Studies show a mild physical activity can help reduce risk factors for certain diseases. So exercise is not always to be heavy and frequent.

3. No sweating means no effective exercise
Sweat is the body's mechanisms to regulate the temperature to cool, so people will sweat more when exercising in the summer than in winter and sweat is influenced by several factors. So it is not appropriate to assess the effectiveness of exercise a person through the sweat that comes out.

4. The more the better sports results
Whereas excessive exercise can be harmful to the body or referred to overtraining, and potentially increasing injury. Levels of exercise should be tailored to the ability of the body.

5. Yoga is the safest sport
Yoga generally involves a variety of exercises and postures that require strength and physical. Although it look easy but the movement in yoga should not be done haphazardly because of wrong practices that can cause problems such as backache and pain. That requires trainers who can teach yoga movements are safe.

6. Aging may be a constraint in the exercise
Many parents who feel it's too late to start exercise, though some types of relatively safe sport for the parents. By doing regular exercise, a person can improve the quality of life, independent and healthy.
