There are two options when a large company dealing with hackers: sue or recruit. Unlike Sony, Microsoft made a different step to this 14-year-old boy. Like what caused it?
The boy, known in cyberspace under the pseudonym 'Jake' is starting on the rise when he could break into the server game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by entering a phishing scam. As a result of his act, game maker Activision as it was full of anger.
Intrigued by the perpetrators of these break-ins, Microsoft was soon to find out. It turned out that the perpetrator is 14 years old boy.
As quoted from Hacker news report on Friday (10/06/2011), Microsoft reported it will help Jake to develop his talents for positive purposes. It also had controversy because of how Microsoft might employ minors.
Responded that the Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland, Paul Rellis denied this. Microsoft can not directly employ minors.
