Morgan FreemanUnited States veteran actor has ever won the Oscar, Morgan Freeman, received a Lifetime Service Award from the American Film Institute (AFI) in an event attended by many famous movie stars in Los Angeles.

Clint Eastwood and veteran British actress Helen Mirren is among a number of filmmakers who give homage to the 74-year-old actor said in a ceremony held in the building the Sony Studios in Culver City, recently.

"It is easy to accept but it is very difficult to believe," said Freeman, who became the 39th person who received the prestigious award from the AFI's. "In my hometown in Mississippi, they call it happiness that do not measure," he added.
