A bottle of champagne or commonly known as 200-year-old Champagne sold at fantastic prices in an auction in Aland, Finland, recently. Veuve Clicquot champagne was bought by a businessman from Singapore worth 30 thousand Euros (USD 371 million).
Bottles are stored neatly in a ship that sank in the 19th century in the Baltic Sea. Drinks were kept perfectly by the dark and cold conditions under the sea. Professional wine taster, Ella Cromwell-Morgan Grussner ensures that the taste of champagne that quality is maintained even though buried for hundreds of years.
"It's become one of the most historic and exciting event in the world of wine," said CEO of the New York auction house Acker Merrall & Condit, John Kapon, which met after the auction.
